From an early age, Badin Mine’s founder, Theophilo Badin, decided to explore the world. Born in Brazil, 1910, son of Lebanese immigrants, he founded Badin Mines in the early 1950’s to find, produce and export the finest minerals.
The Royal Blue Sodalite has been produced by Badin Mines for over 30 years. After decades of making only small pieces, recent technologic advancements made possible the manufacturing of blocks and slabs.

We have invested heavily in our facilities in Itaju (BA) and Vitoria (ES), which will continue to help us develop new products to grow the company’s reputation.
Every single slabs is produced at our state-of-the-art headquarters and manufacturing facility in Vitoria, ES. Planned by Mr. Giovanni Caruso, the factory was designed to be efficient and to have minimal impact on the environment.
